First To Engage In Auto Mechanics

The first season of Gundam 00 debuted in Japan in 2007 as Bandai’s latest effort in the long-standing Gundam franchise that has existed since the original breakout success in 1979. Having only completed the second season in March of 2009, the series is currently recognized by both fans and critics as a reviving breath in the franchise.

Overall Summary of Gundam 00

The story takes place in the year AD 2307. At this point in the world’s history, humanity’s governments are divided into three major political factions: the Union (presiding over North America), The Human Reform League (presiding over China, Russia and India) and lastly the AEU (presiding over the majority of Europe). There are still smaller nations in play but they are the victim of extreme internal strife and often depend on the larger national powers for assistance.

The world itself has gone through an energy crisis forcing humanity to rely on a massive series of solar arrays surrounding the planet to supply power to the world. There are only three orbital elevators that support this system and each is controlled by one of the major political powers.
