A new anti-aging effort may be on the cusp of dramatically extending human life expectancy. Progress has been made; we now have a comprehensive understanding of the processes which cause our bodies to age, and the research to combat these processes has begun.

The notion that every day we are a day older is perhaps our crowning consideration. This is not only reflected in the countless mythical and science fiction stories involving themes of immortality, but also in the billions of dollars spent on anti-aging products each year.
